The Rains Project Management team offers a high level of industry experience in major infrastructure projects. Our team provides a broad set of advisory services to successfully plan, finance, procure, deliver and manage projects. Our services include: strategic planning, project funding, procurement strategies, program and project delivery; and asset management.

RAIL

Services to the rail industry and provision of project management personnel are a core business activity of Rains Project Management.  We provide both management and professional technical services to a range of client groups within this sector.

We are involved in a range of projects covering capital works, infrastructure maintenance, station up-grades and train operations.

NSW HEALTH

Rains Project Management (Rains PM) provides project management services to NSW Health; a recent example being Gladesville Hospital, Building 19 upgrade. Rains PM also provides advisory and project management services to Aftercare, a major NFP organisation which provides mental health support services and residential accommodation throughout Australia.

LAND & HOUSING CORPORATION (LAHC)

Rains Project Management has provided development + project management services to Housing NSW / LAHC. Jim Rains and several of his current project management team were engaged in senior roles for the Australian Commonwealth Government Nation Building Economic Stimulus (NSW Social Housing Program). They were contracted as members of the senior management team responsible for managing numerous residential development projects across NSW. Prior to this Jim had performed a contract Development Manager role at Housing NSW.

PROCUREMENT

Rains PM has extensive experience in the preparation of contracts for delivery of a wide range of project works and professional services in development, construction, engineering and maintenance.

This service requires appropriate tender documents, sound technical specifications, realistic performance indicators and objective tender evaluation in achieving value from the process.  Contract administration and other post contract award services are also provided within this business area. Several of the Rains PM team are members of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
